Brazil became the 105th member of The Madrid Protocol on October 2, 2019, expanding the Madrid System to cover 121 countries. Trademark owners outside of Brazil can now pursue trademark protection in Brazil through the centralized application process managed by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
