Current JobsOhio senior director of engagement Glenda Bumgarner will leave that role to become the new president and CEO of the Appalachian Partnership, Inc. (API) at the end of August 2020, according to a recent Hannah Report article. At JobsOhio, Bumgarner launched “the first statewide engagement team to reach thousands of stakeholders and partners,” according to the article. As API president, she “will partner closely with economic development organizations throughout the region to attract jobs, growth and investment.” API Board Chair MarJean Kennedy said, “Glenda’s energy, experiences and commitment to advance the businesses of Appalachia presented the board with a strong candidate capable of increasing the prosperity of API’s 32-county region.”
