California Consumer Privacy Act: A Compliance Guide

California recently enacted the Consumer Privacy Act, the most stringent privacy law in the United States. Although it does not go into effect until January 1, 2020, most companies will need a number of months to prepare. The attached compliance guide is intended to help clients plan for these new requirements. Note that the law applies to any company that has California customers or employees, not just those based in the state.
