All Lines of Insurance

Mississippi: On July 8, Mississippi enacted Senate Bill 3049, which provides immunity to various entities from civil liability resulting from exposure to COVID-19.

Property and Casualty Insurance

Colorado: The Colorado Division of Insurance is proposing to reissue an emergency proposed rule, under Emergency Regulation 20-E-09, which requires insurers to waive their policy restrictions in order for employees to continue to work while using their own personal automobile for commercial food delivery. The current emergency regulation, Emergency Regulation 20-E-03 is set to expire on July 24, 2020.

Health Insurance

West Virginia: On July 9, the West Virginia Department of Insurance issued Insurance Bulletin No. 20-14 regarding at-home COVID-19 test kits, in response to inquiries from consumers and insurers. The Bulletin provides guidance as to when, and under what circumstances, health plans and health insurance issuers are required to cover at-home COVID-19 testing kits when an individual has not engaged with a healthcare provider directly or in-person.
