All Lines of Insurance

Nebraska: On July 28, the Nebraska Department of Insurance issued a notice to all producers licensed to write business in the state of Nebraska informing them that the date for Nebraska to waive proctor requirements for continuing education self-study online courses has been extended from July 31 to September 30, 2020.

Nevada: On July 27, the Nevada Department of Insurance issued Bulletin 20-003 to provide clarification on provisions for employee assistance programs. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the demand for counseling, mental health support, and other services offered through employee assistance programs (“EAPs”). Given the Declaration of Emergency and the increase in the need for services caused either directly or indirectly by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commissioner of Insurance has waived the limitation on the number of occasions within a six-month period currently in place under NRS 695F.500 subsection 4. This waiver will remain in place until the Declaration of Emergency is lifted.
