We are around 90 daysfrom when the first reported case of COVID-19 hit a nursing home in the state of Washington. Since that time, the nursing home industry has continued to be hit hard by the virus throughout the country. According to data from a compilation of recent state reports by Kaiser Family Foundation, long-term care (LTC) facilities represent approximately 43 percent of the COVID-19 deaths in 40 states.
