Is your business affected by a July 1, 2017, minimum wage increase? On July 1, 2017, if your business is located in or has employees (“EEs”) who work as little as two hours within one of the following areas, you may be affected by an adjusted minimum wage.

City of Los Angeles

  • 26+ EEs = $12.00/hr.
  • 25 or fewer = $10.50/hr.
  • Hotels with 150 or more rooms = $15.66/hr.

  • 26+ EEs = $12.00/hr.
  • 25 or fewer = $10.50/hr.

Emeryville

  • 56+ EEs = $15.20/hr.
  • 55 or fewer = $14.00/hr.

Long Beach

  • Hotels = $14.35/hr.

Required poster:

  • None

Malibu

  • 26+ EEs = $12.00/hr.
  • 25 or fewer = $10.50/hr.

Required poster:

  • English
  • Spanish (Not published, but required if this is the primary language used to communicate with employees.)

Milpitas

  • All employers = $11.00/hr.

Required posters (all six must be posted):

Pasadena

  • 26+ EEs = $12.00/hr.
  • 25 or fewer = $10.50/hr.

Required poster:

San Fransisco

  • All employer sizes = $14.00/hr.

Required poster:

San Jose

  • All employer sizes = $14.00/hr.

Required poster:

Santa Monica

  • 26+ EEs = $12.00/hr.
  • 25 or fewer = $10.50/hr.
  • All hotels = $15.66/hr.

Required Poster:

San Leonardo

All employer sizes = $12.00/hr.

There are exclusions for on-call time and some younger employees at nonprofits or in summer employment.
