The Center for Biological Integrity recently noted that the Trump Administration added its first species to the federal Endangered Species Act (“ESA”) endangered list.

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (“Service”) added the Guadalupe fescue to the list of endangered and threatened plants.

The listing also included a designation of approximately 7,815 acres of critical habitat in Texas.

The fescue is stated to be native to oak woodlands at altitudes above 6,000 feet.

The Service states the fescue is found in West Texas and Mexico.
