The United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) issued a June 12th Project Notification addressing:

EPA’s Interagency Agreement with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The Project Notification originated from Michael D. Davis, Director, Efficiency Directorate, Office of Audit and Evaluation to Barry N. Breen, Acting Assistant Administrator, Office of Land and Emergency Management and Donna J. Vizian, Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator, Office of Administration and Resources Management.

OIG states that it will begin preliminary research on the previously referenced agreement as part of its 2018 annual plan.

The objectives are stated to include whether the EPA is:

  1. being fiscally responsible in awarding interagency agreements with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and
  2. meeting planned expectations in time, cost and outcomes in its use of the agreements.

Work is stated to be initially conducted at EPA interagency agreement shared service centers at EPA headquarters and EPA Region 10.

A copy of the Project Notification can be downloaded here.
