How do you investigate sexual misconduct on your campus in a way that not only complies with Title IX and the Clery Act but also reflects your campus culture and institutional ethic of care?
Join Bricker attorneys Melissa Carleton and Josh Nolan for an interactive and informative two-day workshop to learn what the laws and guidance require, how to approach investigations in a comprehensive and transparent way, and how to ensure your practices are equitable and supportive to all parties. Using hypotheticals and experiential exercises, participants will learn how to conduct interviews, gather evidence, evaluate credibility and make good decisions using your own policy language. If final regulations are adopted prior to this workshop, the new regulations will be integrated into the training sessions.
Who should attend?
This training is appropriate for higher education administrators involved in the Title IX investigation process, investigators, hearing panel members and adjudicators.
Tuition includes the presentation, handout materials, continental breakfast and lunch. If two or more people are attending from the same organization, contact Lindsey Hohler at lhohler@bricker.com for a discounted group rate.
