On January 2, the FDIC issued its list of banks recently evaluated for compliance under the CRA for January 2026. The CRA requires the FDIC to assess how well banks meet the credit needs of their entire communities, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, while maintaining safe and sound operations. The list covers evaluation ratings the FDIC assigned in October 2025. During that period, the FDIC evaluated 58 banks, almost all of which received a “satisfactory” rating. Only two banks received a “needs to improve” rating.
