What is the government policy and legislative framework for the electricity sector?

Government policy -

The main objectives of government policy for the electricity market have been set out in the Energy Policy 2030 adopted in 2009 by the Council of Ministers. There are six areas identified as a priority.

Improving energy efficiency -

Within the objective of improving energy efficiency, on the basis of Energy Policy 2030, the support system based on ‘white certificates’ was implemented Furthermore the government policy focuses of the development of high-efficiency cogeneration and provides support to investments in energy conservation...
