Summer Recess

Upon adjournment of session on Thursday July 21, the Legislature commenced its month-long summer recess.  The Legislature will reconvene on August 21, and no legislative activity will occur in the meantime.  When they reconvene in August, legislators will have a mere three weeks to pass bills to the Governor before they adjourn on September 15.  It will be a busy time as the Legislature wraps up its work for the year and send bills to the Governor for signature or veto.  The Governor will have until October 15 to act on legislation.
