Join Bricker Graydon's higher ed team for this full-day program that delivers a practical, in-depth primer on the Clery Act. This training will address timely warning and emergency notification obligations, Clery geography, tracking and counting Clery crimes, common pitfalls in the Annual Security Report, and documentation strategies to reduce institutional risk. This training will also address new obligations imposed by the Stop Campus Hazing Act.

The training will offer both an in-person and virtual option. Please note that in-person attendance is limited.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Interpret and apply Clery Act requirements — Participants will be able to determine when and how to issue timely warnings, and emergency notifications, and correctly apply Clery geography and crime-counting rules to real campus scenarios.
  • Integrate hazing compliance under the Stop Campus Hazing Act — Participants will learn to incorporate the Stop Campus Hazing Act’s reporting requirements into annual security reporting.
  • Develop best practices for complying with Clery Act — Participants will learn best practices for preparing the Annual Security Report and documentation strategies to avoid costly mistakes.
