In an unprecedented move, Governor J.B. Pritzker extended his “stay at home” order through Saturday May 30, 2020, for residents of the state of Illinois. Residents will continue to be able to pick up food from restaurants, and go to grocery stores, pharmacies or gas stations. Airports and all roads will remain open to traffic. In his press conference Governor Pritzker reminded the residents that all “nonessential” businesses should cease operations. He requested that all people work from home if possible. His new executive order will modify previous restrictions including permitting some retailers to re-open for limited pick up or delivery or goods. That executive order will also mandate the use of face coverings in public.
