On April 18, 2012, Irish Minister for Jobs, Richard Bruton, launched a website the purpose of which is to make it easier for businesses in Ireland to comply with regulations that affect them. You can find Minister Bruton’s website here.  

Particularly helpful for global human resource specialists and employment lawyers advising clients doing business in Ireland is this sub-page within the website, published by the Irish National Employment Rights Authority.

Minister Bruton was quoted in 4-traders.com on April 18th as follows:

"A key part of our plan for jobs and growth is reducing costs, particularly by reducing where possible the burden that Government regulations impose on business. One problem identified by business was the lack of one single online source of information on regulations and how to comply with them, and so today we have launched businessregulation.ie so that businesses no longer have to search multiple Government websites to find out their obligations.

"With today's launch of businessregulation.ie, I am convinced that small businesses in particular will find compliance easier. Through the Action Plan for Jobs, we in Government will continue implementing changes to cut red tape, reduce costs, make it easier to start-up and expand a business and create the jobs we need".  Click here to read the full article.     

The site separates and addresses those regulations pertinent to start-ups, existing businesses generally, and these businesses specifically: Agriculture and Forestry, Food, Fisheries, Construction, Retail, e-Selling, Transport, Hospitality, Security, Pharmacy, Manufacturing, and Other.
