National Quarantine in El Salvador to contain the spread of the COVID-19

The President of the Republic of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, declared all over Salvadoran territory a national quarantine, valid for 21 days. Among the main measures taken, are the follows:

  • The prohibition of the entry of foreigners to the country (except in the case of diplomats or residents people).
  • The prohibition of agglomerations that exceed five hundred people, such as concerts or sporting events.
  • There are no classes. All educational activities were suspended.
  • Trade will continue normally. Commercial activities will remain undamaged, including imports and exports, under the proper sanitary control at customs.
