New home for the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa and the China-Africa Joint Arbitration Centre Johannesburg

From 4 December 2017, the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) and the China-Africa Joint Arbitration Centre Johannesburg (CAJAC) will take occupation of their new national headquarters and arbitration centre.

The new premises are located on the 1st floor of Grindrod Tower, Sandton, and boast three complete arbitration facilities that are suited to host domestic, regional and international arbitrations. In addition, the facilities will be able to cater for arbitrations of any size and are equipped with adjacent breakaway rooms.

As an opening incentive, it has been indicated that hearings booked for 2018 will still be taken at present rates where bookings are made in 2017. The contact details for AFSA and CAJAC remain unchanged.

The new arbitration facilities, which meet international standards, will no doubt make South Africa an attractive arbitration destination on the international map.
