Notable decisions include a rejection of both a jury tampering charge against pro-nullification protesters and a TABOR challenge to the Department of State’s fee structure. The Court also agreed to hear a case about common-law marriages between same-sex partners.
- Myklebust resigns his post. Colorado securities commissioner Chris Myklebust stepped down after board members questioned the validity of his appointment.
- Court of Appeals openings. If you’re interested in becoming a judge on the state’s intermediate appellate court, get those applications ready. Three judges (Taubman, Webb, and Hawthorne) are set to retire in the coming weeks.
