NH Governor Sununu announced extension of state of emergency and new guidance for reopening specific business industries

Downs Rachlin Martin PLLCOn Friday, June 05, 2020, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu signed Executive Order 2020-10 extending, for fourth the time, Executive Order 2020-04, and declaring the State of Emergency due to COVID-19 will be extended until June 26th.

On the same day, Governor Sununu also announced new guidance in its Stay at Home 2.0, phased- approach plan to reopen businesses throughout the state. The updated guidance has been issued in compliance with the Universal Guidelines published in early May. These updates will impact various business industries, as follows:

  • Immediate reopening of New Hampshire coast beaches, allowing sunbathing and other beach activities in small groups of no more than 10 individuals. See guidance here.

  • Reopening on June 28th of overnight summer camps. Link to guidance can be found here.
  • Relaxing certain restrictions for golf, including shortened breaks between tee times and allowing out of state residents to play on New Hampshire golf courses. See guidance here.
  • Restaurants may allow indoor seating beginning June 15th with limitations for seated dining at 50 percent of occupancy capacity. Link to guidance can be found here.
  • Weddings events may also be resumed beginning June 15th, with limitations to the number of occupants in facilities at wedding receptions, the number of people per table and suggested distance between individuals while dancing. For more guidance click here.
