The California Public Utilities Commission will begin holding a series of public participation hearings throughout the State to provide an opportunity for customers of the three major utility companies to address proposed rate changes. Beginning on Sept. 16, customers of Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric and San Diego Gas and Electric will have the opportunity to address the CPUC. Staff from the Commission’s Public Advisor’s Office will also attend each hearing to advise customers about reading their utility bills, resolve billing issues, explain programs aimed at reducing costs and distribute information about the Commission and Commission proceedings.
