Use the free app Windows Voice Recorder and set the default Recording device to Stereo Mix.

8/13/2021: Windows command to check network status

8/14/2021: Latent Semantic Indexing
LSI uses a matrix in which each word is listed on a separate row, and each document in a separate column.  The degree of similarity between two documents is calculated by finding the cosine of the angle between the two vectors formed by two columns.   A value close to 1 will indicate they are very similar.  A value closer to 0 will show that they are more dissimilar.

8/15/2021: Latent Semantic Indexing
The math may justify terms being closely associated which have no real relationship, since the average of a word’s meaning in the data set is used. But this discrepancy will be decreased where words in the document set are used consistently in a predominant context.

8/16/2021: 2021 State of E-Discovery
45 percent of legal departments have reported an increase in legal disputes as a result of the COVID pandemic, while only 7 percent have reported a decrease.

8/22/2021: Analytics Classification Index Limit
Note that for classification analytics indexes used for assisted review, Relativity recommends that a data source (the searchable set of documents that conceptual analytics will be run on) contain no more than 9 million documents.

8/23/2021: Analytics Index Training Data Source Rule of Thumb
Note that the RelativityOne Analytics Guide (available here) provides a guideline for when it will be necessary to add new documents to a training set. With as many as 5,000 new documents it may not be necessary to update the training data source, if you have a total of more than one million documents in the data source. However, if 100,000 documents are added, the training data source set should be updated for the analytics index since the likelihood that the new addition will contain new concepts increases.

8/24/2021: Training Data Source Warning
An index statistics report will display several fields of interest, but pay particular attention to the ‘Average Document Size in Words’ field.  This lists the mean number of words in each document in the training data set.   The value should fall between 120 and 200.   A number below this range may indicate a problem with the training data source.

firststring .*? second string

8/28/2021: deleted iMessages aren’t gone
Make note of the fact that even after a text message is deleted on an iPhone it is still temporarily stored on the device.  An iPhone uses a database to track texts.  A text the user deletes will be checked off as such in the database.

8/29/2021: Don’t Let Windows AutoPlay
Be sure that your Windows operating system is not set to automatically run files found on flash drives, memory cards, smartphones, and tablets.  The files on these devices may install unwanted malware without warning.
