Several years ago, I was asked to make a presentation to a group of small business owners on the subject of succession business planning. This is an updated version of the article I prepared for the presentation. The article is designed to help small business owners begin the process of thinking through succession planning. And I have focused the article on common provisions contained in "buy-sell agreements."
