The United States is experiencing an unprecedented shutdown affecting almost all aspects of life due to the current pandemic. To speed relief to the economy, on March 27, 2020, Congress enacted the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (the CARES Act). The CARES Act contains expansive healthcare provisions that cover areas such as support for healthcare providers, increased access to post-acute care, and waivers of certain telehealth requirements, to name just a few. The attached outline contains a summary of these provisions, with page citations to the relevant sections.
