The Collaborative Law Act will take effect on August 27, 2018. Collaborative Law is an alternative dispute resolution practice that allows family members with legal issues to resolve their matters without court involvement.

Collaborative Law is practiced in almost every state and in 24 countries. McNees attorneys have been practicing collaborative family law since it first was introduced in Pennsylvania in 2002.  We are proud to have been at the forefront of this innovative and mindful approach.

The adoption of the Collaborative Law Act provides statutory guidance regarding structure and definitions for this practice. It is an important step in providing families with options in moving forward in the most healthy way.
