For the first time since 1978, a U.S. Cruise line sailed to and docked in Havana, Cuba. On May 2, 2016, Fathom, a Carnival Corporation brand, became the first U.S. cruise line to take advantage of regulatory changes implemented by the Obama administration.
In other news, the U.S. State Department has issued an update which expands the list of Cuban products allowed to be imported into the United States. Additional products include coffee and some textile items produced by Cuban entrepreneurs.
