HEADLINES

  • President Joe Biden will visit Buffalo Tuesday, after 10 people died in a supermarket shooting that local authorities have described as “straight up, a racially motivated hate crime.”
  • Pennsylvania voters on Tuesday will choose their parties’ nominees for the November general election, including for retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey’s seat, sure to be among this year’s most hotly contested races.
  • Congress and the White House are scrambling to address a nationwide shortage of baby formula that has left some parents desperate.

HOUSE

  • The House will be in session this evening through Thursday, with plans to take up legislation to address the baby formula shortage.
  • Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday will speak before a joint session of Congress.
  • Ongoing hearings on the president’s budget are highlighted by Labor Secretary Marty Walsh testifying Tuesday at the House Appropriations Committee.

SENATE

  • The Senate will give final approval to $40 billion in aid to Ukraine, after Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., temporarily delayed the legislation.
  • Senate budget hearings are highlighted by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland appearing at the Energy and Natural Resources Committee Thursday.
  • The Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday on cybersecurity in the health and education sectors.

WHITE HOUSE

  • Later today, Biden will host Mitsotakis for a bilateral meeting at the White House.
  • The president and First Lady Jill Biden will visit Buffalo Tuesday.
  • Thursday, Biden will travel to Seoul, South Korea, beginning his first visit to Asia as president.
