Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed Addendum 17 to Executive Order 01-20. This order, titled “Modified Quarantine Restrictions on Travelers Arriving in Vermont; Municipal Regulation of Bars and Restaurants,” amends Addendum 7, previously issued.

This order permits, effective Monday, June 8, 2020, travel without fourteen (14) days home-quarantine restriction to and from counties of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York, as long as those counties have 400 or fewer cases of COVID-19 per million. The order also indicates that additional guidance for self-quarantine will be given by the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) and Vermont Department of Health and that Vermont residents traveling outside the state need to be aware of the quarantine policy in effect in each state they intend to visit.

In addition, the order clarifies that the Secretary of the ACCD has the authority to update and modify requirements for the resumption of operations of indoor and outdoor restaurants, bar and catering businesses; and that each municipality may enact stricter requirements to that industry to address COVID-19 outbreaks.

The Order is in effect until June 15, 2020. For more information, see a copy of Addendum 17, here.
