China's stance on pharmaceutical patents catches the eye of the entire globe due to its market position. Effective on January 15, 2021, the newly revised China’s Patent Examination Guideline provides new examination rules of pharmaceutical patents, in particular for experimental data and post-filing data, which may have substantial impact on applicants.
The speaker Walker SHI is a partner and patent attorney at Linda Liu & Partners. He has been specialized in Chinese pharmaceutical patent practice for 20 years, providing feasible and reasonable solutions to the clients. Walker is also a former senior examiner of the CNIPA as a quality inspector and training lecturer for new examiners and entrepreneurs. In this episode, he will share his insights on Chinese pharmaceutical patent procurement, including the features, importance of experimental data, updates on post-filing data and typical cases.
