California’s 2026 privacy rules unfurled a thicket of confusing and potentially onerous requirements around risk assessments, cybersecurity audits, and AI governance. But businesses will vary dramatically in which obligations they face and when their clock starts ticking.
Peter Jackson and Laurie Selkowitz will guide participants through a risk-conscious methodology to determine their unique compliance duties and timeline. Participants will leave knowing which privacy, ADMT and security assessments will apply to their business—and how to allocate resources to regulatory privacy requirements without deprioritizing defenses against the plaintiffs’ bar’s latest zombie privacy claims.
This program is approved for 1 hour of general California MCLE credit.
