The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) recently published the final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to incorporate contractual requirements for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program (CMMC). DOD has been working on CMMC requirements for several years, and the final rule at long last sets a starting date for phasing in the CMMC program. Now that CMMC is a reality, contractors must figure out how to navigate this new regime.
The webinar will discuss:
- Fundamentals of the CMMC Program such as assessment levels, compliance with NIST publications, and the phased implementation timeline
- Overview of the of contractual requirements in the new final rule, including changes from the language in the August 2024 proposed rule
- Effects on subcontractors and the supply chain
