Join us for the second program of the intercollegiate webinar series on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 as we unpack legal issues related to the hiring (and firing) of college coaches.

We have special guests from both sides of the table, Scott Gaffield, who represents coaches and serves as General Counsel of Athletes First, and Matt McCoy, Senior Associate General Counsel for Athletics at the University of Arkansas, who will share best practices and the challenges that they face today.

When registering, please share any additional topics or questions for the speakers to discuss during the program. We want the program to be as relevant as possible for you.

Program topics:

  • Coaching contracts 101: Core terms
  • Key clauses in structuring: How to balance risk
  • Recent innovations, from life insurance to buyouts
  • Best practices and common pitfalls

CLE
CLE credit is applicable by attending the live webinar. This program offers 1 hour of general CLE credit in California and New York, pending approval of materials. All other attendees may receive a uniform certificate of attendance.
