In 2003 Judge Shira Scheindlin wrote “once a party reasonably anticipates litigation, it must suspend its routine document retention/destruction policy and put in place a 'litigation hold' to ensure the preservation of relevant documents." The Legal Hold process is extremely time-consuming and most organizations try to tackle it with a manual effort of sending emails and tracking responses in spreadsheets creating a defensibility nightmare. In a recent ZyLAB survey, 95% of companies reported that they feel they are wasting time creating, sending and tracking emails and 80% of companies mention they worry about proving their methods are defensible and that no spoliation has occurred.
ZyLAB has re-invented the Legal Hold Process so that organizations have a straightforward, efficient and automated process for issuing and tracking legal holds across the enterprise. Join Jeffrey Wolff, CEDS, Director of eDiscovery Solutions at ZyLAB for a discussion about legal hold best practices and how automating the process can save your organizations in both manual effort and legal risk.
