Wright & Filippis Files Notice of Data Breach Affecting More than 877k Individuals

On November 18, 2022, Wright & Filippis reported a data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights as well as the California Attorney General after the company learned it had been the target of a ransomware attack. According to Wright & Filippis, the breach resulted in the names, dates of birth, patient numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and health insurance information being compromised. Recently, Wright & Filippis sent out data breach letters to all affected parties, informing them of the incident and what they can do to protect themselves from identity theft and other frauds.
