This week, the Special Redistricting Panel appointed by Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Gildea, issued a Scheduling Order which sets the deadlines for the lawsuit. The Panel will set the boundaries for Minnesota legislative and Congressional districts for the next 10 years until the next census.

Under the Order, intervention motions are required to be filed by July 28, stipulations and unresolved issues are required to be submitted by September 28, and redistricting criteria motions are due by October 5. Public hearings on the redistricting issue will be held from October 6 to 14. The Redistricting Panel will complete its work and issue its Order configuring districts by February 21, 2012.
