On January 16, 2009, changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) took effect.

FLMA covered employers employ at least 50 employees within a 75 mile radius of the

worksite reported to by the employees, or from which assignments are distributed. The

new FMLA regulations comprise 201 pages, and this e-alert is but a summary. Ober|Kaler outlines the steps FMLA-covered employers can take to comply with the new regulations:
