David is an innovator who produces novel and effective approaches for maximizing business development. He is the author of "Secrets of the Masters: The Business Development Guide for Lawyers", and he is the creator of CMOplaybook®, an internally managed, self-paced training program that teaches lawyers how to become exceptional rainmakers. He is the originator of the Culture Xray®, a powerful diagnostic tool that gives firms deep insights into their internal cultures of business development, and he also developed the CultureShift® approach for accelerating firm-wide revenue growth, which harnesses the latent synergy between people, processes, training, and technology.

David is an internationally acclaimed speaker who presents at law firm retreats, international, national and regional conferences, bar associations, law firm networks and webinars. He was Co-Chair the 2010 Annual Conference for the Legal Marketing Association, a former member of the Board of Editors and a former leadership columnist for "Marketing the Law Firm", and a former member of the Education Committee of the Legal Marketing Association. He wrote a booklet on law firm leadership, co-authored a book on business development, contributed to an ABA best-selling book on business development for associates, and has written numerous articles that address the revenue-focused aspects of running a law firm.
