Practice/Organization Description

Jessica Foley Law is a small South Shore law firm that specializes in Criminal Defense and Family Law. Attorney Foley takes pride in her ability to work with clients to a resolution of their cases. Most people come to the office in a situation where they have no choice but to hire a lawyer (and maybe it wasn't something they planned on). She enjoys working with adults and children who are charged with crimes and people going through a divorce and helping them navigate the legal system. Court is not an everyday experience for most people and does her best to make my clients feel comfortable. She fights hard for her clients to obtain the best possible outcome.

The firm handles the following matters: Divorce (contested and uncontested), Child Support, Alimony, Modifications of Judgments, Prenuptial Agreements, Paternity, Department of Children and Family cases, Juvenile delinquency, C.R.A.'s., district and superior court criminal cases, drunk driving, registry hearings, and speeding and moving violation tickets.

Jessica is an experienced trial attorney concentrating her practice in family law, personal injury and criminal defense. Ms. Foley is a former Assistant District Attorney in Plymouth County where she prosecuted felonies and misdemeanors from arraignment through trial and has represented the Commonwealth in the Massachusetts Appeals Court from 2001 until 2005.

In handling Criminal matters, Divorces, Custody Issues and Personal Injury cases Attorney Foley work closely with her clients to help them achieve their goals as a litigator and mediator. Attorney Foley graduated from Northeastern University School of Law (J.D. 2001) and Smith College (B.A. Biochemistry 1997). She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the United States District Court. She is a member of the Norfolk County Bar Association, the Quincy Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.

It's the philosophy of the firm to fight as hard as possible for her clients, however, this is not done with blinders on, in some situations it might be best for all parties to come to a resolution without a trial. This is especially true in Family Law matters where many hours, time and money can be wasted on issues that can be resolved when the parties put their heads together and focus on what is important. This can be difficult when emotions are high.
