  • District of Columbia AG Brian L. Schwalb announced separate settlements with District Dogs, Inc.; B&B Solutions US, LLC; and Levy Premium Foodservice Limited Partnership to resolve separate allegations that the companies violated DC wage-and-hour laws.
  • District Dogs, a pet care company, will pay $120,159 in restitution and penalties to resolve allegations it did not properly distribute tips to employees, pay employees for time worked during break times, and failed to provide employees with paid-sick leave accruals, among other things.
  • Flooring installation and janitorial services company B&B Solutions will pay $612,000 in restitution and penalties to resolve allegations that it used subcontractors to fulfill an emergency cleaning services contract with DC during the COVID pandemic without disclosing those subcontracts to the District, and failed to pay minimum wage or provide sick days to the subcontracted employees, among other things.
  • Levy Premium Foodservice, which operates concessions and dining at Nationals Ballpark, will pay $35,000 in penalties and $164,000 in restitution to resolve allegations that it inaccurately reported low paid sick leave balances for food service employees.
