  • A bipartisan coalition of 19 AGs and the Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection wrote a comment letter supporting the FTC’s proposed Trade Regulation Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees meant to curb hidden fees, sometimes called “junk fees.”
  • In the letter, the AGs offer support for provisions of the proposed rule addressing bait-and-switch pricing schemes, misleading fees, and the preservation of states’ rights to fight deceptive and unfair fees.
  • The AGs support the promulgation of the proposed rule.
