Alaska Exempts Nonprofit Organizations From Mortgage Lender Licensing Requirements

The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development recently adopted amendments to its mortgage lending regulations to exempt bona fide nonprofit organizations from the licensing requirement. However, such organizations are required to submit an application for an exemption registration to determine eligibility for the exemption. These changes to the mortgage lending regulations became effective on February 6, 2020.
