Here's a blunt message to all General Counsel: "No More Mr. Nice Guy!" Given the the realignment of power in the legal profession's "New Normal," you have to exercise authority more forcefully. Demand more accountability from outside counsel. Impose sterner consequences for unacceptable law firm behavior. Just do it.
