On July 2 the Obama administration announced a one year delay in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate ("pay or play") to January 1, 2015.

This delay provides employers faced with the difficult task of compliance more time to prepare, and perhaps some easing of the rules will be forthcoming.
