The CFPB has announced that it is now accepting applications for the next round of its Technology & Innovation fellowship program. The CFPB describes the fellowship as “a two year program for software developers, graphic and user experience (UX) designers, data specialists, and cybersecurity professionals interested in leveraging technology to help further our mission of making financial products and services work for consumers.” The next group of fellows is expected to begin work in January 2015.

In its announcement, the CFPB describes some of the work done by the first group of fellows since the fellowship program was launched two years ago. That work included the creation and building of an on-line tool to visualize and track Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data, the “Ask CFPB” FAQ feature on the CFPB’s website, and eRegulations.

Anyone interested in the fellowship program can sign up for updates or submit an application on the CFPB’s website.
