Clean Water Infrastructure Upgrades: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Announces $15,178,000 Grant for Arkansas

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Region 6 announced in a March 9th news release that it was awarding the State of Arkansas $15,178,000 for its Clean Water State Revolving Fund (“CWSRF”)

Other states in Region 6 receiving grant funds include:

  • Louisiana - $25,506,000
  • New Mexico - $11,390,000
  • Oklahoma – $18,745,000
  • Texas - $106,049,000

CWSRF funds are utilized to upgrade water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture, Arkansas Natural Resources Commission administers the CWSRF in the State of Arkansas. It provides low-cost financing for such projects in the State of Arkansas.

EPA states that the funds are made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
