This week, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) released generalized guidance to assist employers in determining best workplace practices to address employee exposure to COVID-19. The chart describes different scenarios, including circumstances where an employee tests positive; has close contact with someone who tests positive; or dined at a restaurant where a staff member tests positive, and provides action items for responding to each exposure scenario.

Employers are advised to review and incorporate the guidance into their current policies and procedures as South Carolina navigates this COVID-19 environment.
