Primary Market Bulletin 18 – more technical guidance for market participants
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published its 18th edition of Primary Market Bulletin (PMB 18), its newsletter for the UK's primary market participants. Amongst other things, PMB 18 announces the consultation of proposed new and amended technical guidance in the Knowledge Base, including new guidance for sponsors regarding certain of their obligations under the Listing Rules. Corporate governance update: government response to the green paper on corporate governance reform
The government has published its response to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy green paper on corporate governance reform which was published in November 2016 and focused on three specific areas: executive pay, strengthening stakeholder voice and corporate governance in large privately-held businesses. The government has considered all the responses received and also taken into account the BEIS Committee Report resulting from the Committee's inquiry into corporate governance which was published in April this year. ESMA has updated its MAR Q&As with new questions and answers on market soundings and insider lists. In addition, ESMA has updated its answer on the prevention and detection of market abuse in respect of persons professionally arranging or executing transactions. MORE>
