Expenses and Delays Continue for Mountain Valley Pipeline, Where Work has Halted Again -

"The pipeline’s developers announced that construction now isn’t expected to concluded until late next year at a cost of $5.3 to $5.5 billion because key aspects of the giant project have been challenged by federal regulators and in the court system."

Why this is important: Mountain Valley Pipeline, the EQM Midstream Partners project to move West Virginia natural gas 303 miles into southern Virginia, has been delayed again by a mid-October order of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requiring a halt to construction, following a recent ruling of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit granting a stay on a key permit....
