The U.S. State Department announced earlier this month that the registration period for the annual Diversity Visa lottery is open.
This lottery allows foreign citizens from certain countries to apply for permanent resident immigrant visas (“green cards”) outside of the normal immigrant visa process. Applicants must have requisite qualifications related to country of origin (or spouse’s country of origin), work experience and high school education.
