E-Verify Information for Federal Contractors

Implementation of the final rule requiring federal contractors and subcontractors to begin using USCIS’ E-Verify system has been delayed until 5/21/09. An amendment providing notice of this postponement will publish in the Federal Register on Friday, 01/30/09. The final rule will be legally final and effective on 01/19/09, but Federal contracting officers will not begin to insert the new E-Verify clause into federal contracts and solicitations until 5/21/09.
